It is indeed and the air smells of it, wonderfully so! :D I just love autumn, for me it's the very best season. The colours are bright and even when the sky is grey, the colours even though muted still shine.
So it's time for me to out all my favourite emo music on my mp3-player and wander the streets and the parks while listening to it on full blast! :D I don't know, in autumn that just seems like the thing to do (as it is playing FFVIII in winter).

Aaaanyway, other than exclaiming my neverending love for autumn, this post actually serves a purpose! :D

Let me start with a little anecdote. ;)

Recently [livejournal.com profile] isegrim_chan and I were at the Comic Galerie since we had some time on our hands before the film we wanted to see started. And I discovered what I had expected for quite some time, I don't know shit anymore about manga (and anime for that matter). I stood there and most manga lying around I had never heard of. I was quite happy when I discovered Kenshin and Loveless and such, 'cause they were at least things I did know. xD While I find that kind of sad, I guess it can't be helped. :/ BUT! All that reminded me of that I actually really like reading manga (especially soapy ones xD).
I hope some of you still have at least one eye on new publications, so I want to ask for some recs. :) I'm basically looking for anything that can grab your attention, but I'd be quite happy to be directed in the direction of something kitschy like Missile Happy or Marmelade Boy or Peach Girl. xD And it'd be really awesome if the recs were published in Germany or at least easy to get. I just don't feel much like readong them on PC (But if you know of something awesome, please link. ;))

So, please help?? I'll be grateful forever! :D

I was in the largest comic shop in the UK a couple of days ago and it sucked. I couldn't find a single title I wanted. It's not like it used to be when you'd get real imported stuff from Japan that was obscure and bizarre ;-; Boo.

I highly recommend Tramps Like Us (Kimi wa Petto). It's brilliant. I was so surprised I liked it; it's like a crappy soap opera XD But the characters are really good and the art is nice and simple :) Don't know if it came out in German though :\

It makes you feel kind of... out of the loop, doesn't it? :/

Thanks! :D From what I can tell googling it, I really like the art. :) Crappy soap operas are the best. xD I don't know why, but I always sometimes I just have the urge to really indulge in it. xD
From what I can tell it was printed in Germany between 2004 and 2007 but it's out of print now. Some volumes are quite cheap now (about 1 €), but others are as expensive as 20 €...
How's the price in GB?

Well I used to buy my manga at three books for £15 (since they are about £7/8 each) on offer in the comic shops in Glasgow, but I haven't bought a manga in about four years XD You're right, I am SO out of the loop! There was only one new title that came out recently that interested me, but the publisher axed it before it was finished :(

You can get some volumes of Tramps Like Us for a penny second hand on Amazon. I wish I could get the Pokemon manga cheap! It's SO EXPENSIVE because it's all out of print *refuses to pay £100 for a comic even though I have ones that are currently selling for that price*

I just went to my local comic shop, but sadly they hadn't any offers. I still know one was 5€, and I've looked at the same series printed now and it's 6,50€ so I really hadn't much of an urge to buy something again. xD
Ah, publishers... I used to read a really cracky series but the publishers stopped printing it at about vol.20 or something. I was so mad. >(

Ha, I guess than I have to buy some German, some English and in the end maybe I won't have been ripped off. xD
100?! That's crazy... Although I have some manga that went out of print quite some time ago. I should check on ebay whether I can get rich! :D (although I wouldn't sell them...)

Lol, I'm the same. I don't want to sell my manga, even if some of it is worth a lot of money. They were gifts, or reminders of where I was at that point in life. I can remember where I was when I bought them, and I can remember being happy the first time I read them, so I will never sell X3

Exactly. :) It's the same with my videogames, books and DVDs. I just know I would regret it later, if I sold them. My friends keep teasing me about it, but meh. ;)
